Michael Espinal is a first-generation American born and raised in Miami, Florida. As a passionate writer on issues regarding Civil rights, Michael became the managing editor for FIU’s news publication ‘StudentsWrite’ from 2009-2012.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree his in 2012, Michael became a high school English teacher at Miami Sunset Sr. High for the 2012-2013 academic calendar year. In 2013 he matriculated into Barry University’s Law School program where he focused his studies on trial practice such as arguing Florida Evidence and Florida Procedure in court-room settings with real judges.
Passionate about social issues, he dedicated his Thesis to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and its impact on gender and age discrimination in the workplace. Michael has experience in criminal defense, personal injury and first-party property litigation. Michael is fluent in English and Spanish.
